Jewish Gateways is an open community that invites all to explore and connect with Jewish traditions through learning, celebration, and spirituality. Its “come as you are, no experience necessary” environment encourages wandering and wondering Jews and their families and friends to discover what is personally meaningful.
All are welcome, including those who are Jewish, Jew-ish, or neither; singles, couples, and families; those in interfaith, intercultural, and multiracial relationships; Jews-by-choice; adult children of interfaith families; members of the LGBTQ community; and people of color.
Jewish Gateways offers open High Holiday services and other holiday celebrations, family learning and activities, a variety of meaningful adult learning including adult bar and bat mitzvah, and lifecycle events. It is a community “without walls,” and gathers in a variety of East Bay locations.
