Newly expanded and landscaped cemetery, three times its original size, serving the needs of the South Bay Jewish community. Single and double-depth burials, cremation options, pre-selecting plots and pre-purchasing available. Natural setting. Unaffiliated welcome. Through an agreement with Habing Funeral Home and Congregation Emeth, the Jewish section of Gavilan Hills Memorial Park is now under the congregation’s management.
The expansion and beautification of the cemetery was a year-long process. In keeping with Jewish tradition, a physical boundary and a fence were installed around the Jewish section, under the direction of Rabbi Debbie Israel and the synagogue’s ritual committee. A Holocaust memorial now resides within the Jewish section. As part of the arrangement with Habing Funeral Home, the rabbi and cemetery committee regularly check the site to be certain standards are maintained.
