Rivoli is the crown jewel of Berkeley’s Solano Avenue, with elegant food that matches its lovely décor. A quaint little bar seats about six in the front, and the dining room highlight is the lovely back garden area. Offerings range from steak frites to trout with quinoa, portions are generous, and wine list is ample with knowledgeable servers.

Since 1980, Flea Street has been favored by much of Silicon Valley for its delicious NorCal cuisine. Before sustainability and farm-to-table were common, the restaurant was practicing both because, they say, it means wonderful food and a good business model. A contemporary, sophisticated ambiance is a great stage for their Pacific seafood and locally-sourced meats. A unique community service project, Meals of Gratitude was started when the pandemic hit, initially for frontline healthcare workers and then also for firefighters and evacuees of the wildfires.
