The dance floor at last year’s Latke Ball photo/jewish community federation

Saturday night Jewish fever. As usual, the annual Latke Ball will be on Christmas Eve this year, but there’s an added bonus in 2016: It’s also the first night of Hanukkah. Perhaps the raging dance party for the 21-and-up crowd will be even more of a rager. DJ Ben Gershen will serve up the music, and the 800 or so partygoers will get to nosh on sufganiyot and throw back signature cocktails. Proceeds go to local and global Jewish programs.

9 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24 at Ruby Skye, 420 Mason St., S.F. $35-$45, $15 more for VIP ticket. www.jewishfed.org/news/events/latke-ball-2016
