Shalom Bayit, an Oakland-based Jewish nonprofit that aids victims of domestic violence, is seeking attorneys willing to provide pro bono legal advice and advocacy to its clients.
Services needed include legal research, representation and consultation on such matters as contracts, real estate, employment rights and estate planning. Lawyers with experience in family law and handling domestic violence cases are urged to apply.
This appeal is part of the pro bono consulting practice program of the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation, which offers free expertise to the federation’s nonprofit partners. Serving nine counties in Northern California, Shalom Bayit hopes to create a network of pro bono attorneys throughout the region.
