Sameya Gewirtz and Nicholas Pasquale

Sameya Helen Gewirtz, daughter of Steve and Elaine Gewirtz, and Nicholas Graydon Pasquale, son of Nicholas and Vicki Pasquale, are engaged. Nick proposed to Sameya in a hot air balloon over Napa and she said yes!

They plan to wed next May in Monterey. They will stand under the chuppah with their feet in the sand surrounded by close friends and family.

Nicholas is an emergency room RN and Sameya owns her own education business and teaches at Congregation Beth Am (where the couple are members) in Los Altos Hills. The happy couple reside in San Jose with their son, Johnny.


Jennifer Sockolov and David Saxe

The Sockolov and Saxe families are ecstatic to announce the engagement of Jennifer Rachel Sockolov and David Benjamin Saxe.

Jenn is the daughter of Wendy Sockolov, Steve Sockolov and Susan Snyder, and sister of Will (Brooke), Ben and Zack. Grandparents are Robyn and Bob Loup, Charlene Loup and Seymour Rubenstein, and Audrey and Bob Sockolov.

Dave is the son of Shelley and Loren Saxe and brother of Aaron (Meredith) and Daniel. Grandparents are Dorothy and George Saxe z”l, and Benjamin and Sylvia Mathon z”l.

Jenn gradated from USF in 2010 with a BS in business administration. She is an associate relationship manager at First Republic Bank in San Francisco. Jenn is a board member of YAD.

Dave received his BA from Northwestern University in 2000 and an MBA from the Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley in 2007. Dave is a managing principal of Calvera Partners, a real estate investment and advisory firm. In 2014 he was awarded the Dinkelspiel Award for Young Leadership by the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation & Endowment Fund.

Dave and Jenn met at the Northern California Jewish Sports Hall of Fame induction dinner in April 2014. Last summer during their Young Leadership Mission to Israel, Dave’s prayer left in the Kotel stated that “This is the girl I’m going to marry.”

The couple reside in San Francisco and will be married in 2016. No date has been announced.
