Israeli author David Grossman will discuss his celebrated new book, “To the End of the Land,” this month at the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco.
“To the End of the Land” depicts Ora, an Israeli mother whose son decides to return to the front after being discharged from the army. To avoid potential bad news, Ora decides to take a hike in the Galilee, bringing along her damaged former lover to revisit their past.
Grossman’s appearance is presented in partnership with the Israel Center of the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation and the Consulate General to Israel in San Francisco.
The talk will take place at 7 p.m. Oct. 20 at the JCCSF’s Kanbar Hall, 3200 California St., S.F. Tickets are $10-$35.
