Dena Saliman, daughter of Ellen and Gerald (Jerry) Saliman of Hillsborough, and Gary Maple, son of Rhona Maple of Randolph, Mass., and Michael Maple of Hanson, Mass., have announced their engagement. A wedding is planned for July in San Francisco.

The bride-to-be received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Emory University in Atlanta. She is currently pursuing a master of arts degree in early childhood education at Georgia State University. She is also a first grade teacher at Liberty Point Elementary School in Union City, Ga. Grandparents are George and Dorothy Saxe of Menlo Park and Jeannette Saliman of Tarzana and the late Paul Saliman.

Her fiancé received a bachelor of business administration degree from Emory University. He is a sales planning analyst for Acuity Brands Lighting in Conyers, Ga. Grandparents are Dianne Cohen of Randolph, Mass, and the late Joel Cohen, and Enid and Edward (Sonny) Maple of Mashpee, Mass.
