The bakery offers customers a glimpse into a rich culture and heritage that the owners experienced while growing up. Selections include bourekas, a variety of challahs, and traditional, homemade dishes cooked the way Great-grandfather Mosheh would have cooked them.

Supervision coordinator Rabbi Ben-Tzion Welton bwelton@sun-k.org

The mission of this community service organization, which serves Northern California, is the maintenance of a high level of kosher quality supervision. It is composed of rabbinic and lay leaders providing kosher certification, supervision and inspection for caterers, wholesale and retail food vendors, and food production companies in Northern California. Currently the Vaad supervises 17 eating establishments, 22 food production facilities and eight caterers who are always kosher. It has supervised over 120 events with over 40 different caterers. In addition to its own work, Vaad members subcontract with other international kosher agencies (including the OU, OK, Kof-K and Star-K) to supervise almost all of the kosher food production in Northern California. The rabbinic administrator is Rabbi Levy Zirkind, executive director of Chabad of Fresno. He has been immersed in issues of kosher supervision for the last 12 years and is respected nationally for his work by the above-mentioned kosher supervision agencies.
