Pound for pound, Atid kids top them all

Atid Jewish Day School in Fremont received recognition from the Alameda County Community Food Bank for collecting more pounds of food per student than any of the other 65 public and private schools participating in the March annual spring food drive. Seven kindergarten students collected 70 pounds of food.

In total, the drive collected more than 50,000 pounds of food that will be distributed to the 300 social service agencies in the Food Bank network.
