Negato, who is survived by his parents and seven siblings, was the ninth IDF soldier to be killed in southern Lebanon this year.

Staff-Sgt. Assad Hamuda, a tracker, suffered light-to-moderate wounds. He was evacuated by helicopter to Rambam Hospital. Hamuda was reported to be suffering from shrapnel wounds to his chest and limbs.

The bomb attack occurred at about 7 a.m., after a unit of Givati Brigade soldiers, with Negato in the lead, left the outpost to check the road leading to the coastal highway.
