Students: Interested in taking a year off between high school and college?

Jewish Community High School of the Bay will host a Gap Year Fair on Feb. 7, with more than 40 international programs represented. The USA Gap Year Fair will feature speakers, a general question-and-answer session, and representatives from a broad range of experiential programs.

The fair will begin at 6 p.m. with a 30-minute talk about the benefits of gap-year programs, and runs until 8:30 p.m. JCHS is located at 1835 Ellis St., San Francisco. Nearly a third of JCHS graduates defer college acceptance for one year so they can pursue a gap-year program.

For more information on the S.F. fair, as well as a Feb. 6 fair at Sir Francis Drake High School in San Anselmo and a Feb. 9 fair at Los Altos High School, visit www.usagapyearfairs.org.
