The Osher Marin JCC Preschool has become the first Jewish early childhood education program in the country to receive accreditation for excellence by the Jewish Early Childhood Education Initiative.
The Osher Marin preschool, which serves 171 families in 10 classrooms in two locations, has been involved with JECEI since 2005 and will receive the highest level of JECEI accreditation.
The multiyear accreditation process includes regular on-site work with JECEI consultants and staff, participation in national retreats and visits by validators who review school and classroom portfolios, tour the schools, observe classrooms, and conduct interviews with parents, teachers, directors and others.
JECEI is a national organization that strives to transform early childhood schools into high-quality educational centers that inspire families to integrate Jewish ideals into their daily lives, acting as a gateway to lifelong Jewish engagement.
