British singer Elvis Costello will hold a single concert at the amphitheater in Caesarea, Israel, on June 30.
The singer has yet to announce other dates lined up for his planned European tour this summer, but is slated to hold concerts in the United States from April until mid-May.
Costello, 55, was born as Declan Patrick MacManus in London and has been recording music since the ’70s. His latest album was released last summer.
The singer is joining a line of many high-profile artists who are scheduled to perform in Israel this summer, including fellow Brits Elton John and Rod Stewart and American indie band the Pixies.
Israeli producers are working on bringing other prominent musicians to the
Holy Land, including Beck, Charlotte Gainsbourg and D.J Shadow.
