American-born scholar Helise Lieberman has been named director of the center.</p> <p>Headquartered at the Emanuel Ringelbaum Jewish Historical Institute in Warsaw, the center will focus on supporting Jewish life in Poland through education and cultural experience.</p> <p>A native of Illinois, Lieberman graduated from Brandeis University and later moved to Poland, where she founded the country’s first new Jewish day school in decades.</p>
