Comedian Carol Leifer will be featured at this year’s Chopshticks dinner and comedy show, the South Bay’s annual mistletoe-free laugh fest. Presented by the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center, Chopshticks takes place at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, at Ming’s Restaurant in Palo Alto.
A successful standup comedian and Emmy-nominated writer and producer, Leifer has written for “Seinfeld”; starred in her own comedy specials on HBO, Showtime and Comedy Central; and appeared on “The Tonight Show” and “The Oprah Winfrey Show.” Her new book is titled “When You Lie About Your Age, the Terrorists Win.”
In addition to the comedy, Chopshticks attendees also receive a multicourse vegetarian and fish dinner. Tables accommodate up to 10 people. Whole tables may be reserved. Ming’s Restaurant is located at 1700 Embarcadero Road, Palo Alto. Tickets are $70 for OFJCC members, $75 for nonmembers.
