It is no more.<br /><br /> But don’t worry: In its place is the newly renamed Silicon Valley Jewish Film Festival. <br /><br /> A major program of the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center, the festival is celebrating its 17th year. Unlike its more compressed counterpart in Contra Costa County, the Silicon Valley fest is an ongoing event. <br /><br /> This month, the festival will present two acclaimed Israeli films: “Beaufort,” the Oscar-nominated tale of an Israel Defense Forces outpost in Lebanon; and “The Band’s Visit,” an award-winning comedy about an Egyptian police band stuck temporarily in an Israeli backwater.<br /><br /> “Beaufort” screens 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 28, at the San Jose Repertory Theatre, 101 Paseo de San Antonio, San Jose. “The Band’s Visit” is now playing at Camera 7 Theatre, 1875 Bascom Ave., Campbell.
