Her photo, accompanying a front-page piece on clinical depression and suicide in the Jewish community, depicts a somber, thoughtful Lisa Cohen clutching a portrait of her mother, who committed suicide when Cohen was 15.<br /><br /> Janet Silver Ghent, the Bulletin's senior editor, also picked up an honorable mention for her Dec. 22 editorial, "Bring a little light into the world." The piece urged Jews to abandon "communal kvetching" around the Christmas season, "take joy in the happiness of others and rejoice in what we have."<br /><br /> Finally, Bulletin staff writer Alexandra J. Wall won first place in the personality profiles category for her portrait of Orthodox Jewish sex guru Rabbi Shmuley Boteach. That piece appeared in Moment magazine.<br /><br /> Also honored was the Bulletin's design staff, which picked up a pair of second-place honors in the Microvoice Advertising Awards.</p> <p> </p>
