Spend NYE with Balkan Beat Box

Have New Year’s Eve plans yet? Of course you don’t, we just finished packing up the menorahs and scraping the frying pans. Well loyal Bay Area music fans (of the Jewish persuasion), I’ve got the show for you: Balkan Beat Box will rock the SF Concourse Exhibition Center on Dec. 31.

BBB is the ultimate mashup of Middle Eastern and Easterm Europe sounds, electronic and Gypsy folk, party and political. The group, which formed in 2004, also happens to be on Jewish label Jdub.

The band plays Sea of Dreams NYE 2011 with Thievery Corporation, Modeselektor, Beats Antiques and a whole mess of dance heavy acts.
