Moshav will rock you and Soul Aviv will...roll you?

If you live in the Los Angeles area, or happen to be visiting our neighbors to the south the first weekend of October, you should most definitely check out L.A.’s first ever Jewish Country Fair.

The fair takes place Sunday, Oct. 3 at the Shalom Institute in Malibu and will include a righteous hodgepodge of Jewish music including Moshav, Michelle Citrin, Wellspring, Soul Aviv and a great many more.

Moshav, originally from Israel, plays bombastic roots reggae while Soul Aviv brings a Motown and Memphis soul sound. Wellspring, a duo who met in Manhattan but now live in Los Angeles, is a folky indie act that recalls Simon and Garfunkel (if one of them had been a lady).

In addition to music the fest will also have food (of course) and wine tasting, ride and games and yoga workshops. One food vendor mentioned is a "Kosher taco truck" -- could it be Takosher, profiled here last month? Check it out and let me know!
