IDF soldiers’ controversial Ke$ha dance

A YouTube clip of the Israeli Defense Forces went viral this week – but it may not be the type of video you are picturing. The two-minute clip shows six IDF soldiers walking down an empty alleyway (save for a memorable tabby cat) in Hebron before breaking into a choreographed dance to American pop singer Ke$ha’s hit tune “Tik Tok.”

It’s a fun little clip, reminiscent of the Afghanistan-stationed U.S. soldiers' routine to Lady Gaga, but it apparently has caused a world of trouble for those involved.

The IDF responded with tense words: “This was a joke by the soldiers and the matter is currently being investigated by the battalion commanders.” Other media reports imply those soldiers involved may punished for "inappropriate conduct during a military operation."

I guess we can agree on one thing, Ke$ha's music is essentially a joke.
