It is almost that time of the year again  — vintage family seder plates, lots’o’matzah, and plenty of kosher wine — that’s right folks, I’m talking about Passover.

And the music world is bringing us a crop of new and revisited audio Pesach plums to fill our holiday tune void:

* IDELSOHN SOCIETY PASSOVER MIX TAPE : The always-outstanding Jewish music preservation site has outdone itself yet again. Exodus 2.0: Idelsohn Society Passover Mix 2010  is a work of mix tape genius that features popular hits and lesser-known treats including but not limited to:
G-d Is My Co-Pilot, "Dayenu"
Darondo, "Let My People Go"
The Velvet Underground, "I'm Set Free"
Harold Stern, "Jewish Cowboy"

* Jdub Records recently announced a new Passover video for its popular kid’s music act The Macaroons. The video for “Matzoh Ball (Don’t Kick It)” stars a determined little matzoh ball a la Rocky. Awesome Cartoon Network-style animation courtesy of the Fantastic Heat Brothers. You may remember j.'s interview with the rockers way back in January.

Chag sameach everyone — and please do fill me on more hip new Pesach music this year!
