Jdub signs The Macaroons!12:32 pm Tuesday, November 17, 2009by emily savage
Well if this doesn't warm your frozen heart, I don't know what will. Jdub records has signed its very first kids band — called the Macaroons! They sing about everything from a magic tallis ride to the rock & roll yarmulke. Also included are songs with titles such as "Flying on a Matzah Brei" and "Hurry Up and Light the Candles." Adorable. And, shockingly, they are actually not pain-inducing for adults (like many other kids groups that shall remain nameless). The group, an offshoot of adult-band The LeeVees, plays sweet rock music reminiscent of Weezer and They Might Be Giants. Their debut album Let's Go Coconuts (omg, so cute) isn't out until Spring 2010 but you can purchase it now through Dec. 18 exclusively at JDub's webstore here.
