NPR looking for deli stories3:25 pm Friday, October 9, 2009by andy altman-ohr Can you DELIver a DELIcious DELI story? If so, NPR wants you. In anticipation of an interview next week with the author of a new book called "Save the Deli", NPR wants listeners to submit their personal stories about deli and deli experiences. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO. By the way, j. is scheduled to run a cover story about "Save the Deli" along with an accompanying piece about the state of deli in San Francisco (through the eyes of the book's author, David Sax). It's on the docket for Friday, Oct. 23. In that same issue, I'll have a column about a recent "deli trip" I took to Detroit and Cleveland, eating at four delis in a 72-hour span. Stay tuned!
