In some somber music news, Jewish celebrity DJ AM was found dead in his New York apartment last Friday, Aug. 28. DJ AM, born Adam Goldstein, was buried at Jewish cemetary Hillside Memorial Park and Mortuary yesterday. The memorial service will be held today (Thursday) at the Hollywood Palladium. Goldstein was well-known and well-liked — and managed to cheat death multiple times. After bouts with drugs, obesity and depression, he seemed to have turned his life around. He, along with Blink 182 drummer Travis Barker, even survived a near fatal plane crash last year. A drug overdose is suspected as the cause of Goldstein's death. His last public communication was through Twitter just four days before his death, in which he tweeted "New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york aint always what it seems."
