The Jewish firmament loses a star - or not9:15 am Thursday, July 2, 2009by rachel leibold No, this blog isn't about Karl Malden - although I still maintain that anyone with a shnozz like that had to be at least partly Jewish. Actually, it's about Jeff Goldblum - the hottest nerdy Jew on the face of the Earth. (In my opinion, of course.) Last week, death-happy Twitterers reported that Goldblum, star of movies like "The Fly," "Jurassic Park" and the recent Holocaust flick "Adam Resurrected," had died while filming a movie in New Zealand. I had a mild heart attack when a friend gave me the news, but given that it wasn't being reported anywhere else, I figured the erstwhile Dr. Malcolm was simply the victim of a Twitter prank. Being the good-natured hot Jew that he is, Goldblum appeared on "The Colbert Report" the other night to clear up the confusion about his demise. Colbert, however, refused to believe that Twitter was wrong. Hilarity ensued. Watch:
