I've just started reading it, but I've been weirdly drawn into Leela Corman's comic "Unterzakhn," which was serialized last year by the Jewish Daily Forward. It's about a little girl in what appears to be the Lower East Side in 1909. (That contrasts interestingly with my cover story this week about the new American Girl doll, Rebecca.) More on "Unterzakhn" in coming weeks! ~~~~~~~~~~~
