Comix Friday: Comix for kids, and former kids1:50 pm Friday, May 22, 2009by rachel leibold Hey y'all - I'm blogging from the Right Coast today - I'm at my parents' house in Maryland after seeing my brother graduate from my alma mater earlier in the day, with a BA in philosophy. I'm so proud of him (major nachas shepping going on), and I'm so happy to be here! But I haven't forgotten Comix Friday, so I have some sweet items for ya:
1) New Voices, the national Jewish student magazine, has a cute new four-page comic up by Ben Granoff and Dov Torbin, entitled "Telling Tales Out of (Hebrew Day) School." It's a story of hubris, redemption and mangling the words to the Birkat HaMazon (you know you did it too!). Ben and Dov are crazy talented, and I'll be featuring more of their work in the coming weeks.
3) I also promised last week that I'd reveal who I voted for in JPS Interactive's People of the Comic Book tournament, so here goes (my picks in bold): That's it for this week - gotta get ready for Shabbat dinner! Good Shabbos, comix fans! Permalink Leave a comment Spread the Word E-mail a friend
