A Muslim converts to Judaism?3:03 pm Monday, May 4, 2009by stacey palevsky I subscribe to so many e-newsletters that I sometimes barely read them at all before clicking delete. But sometimes something catches my eye for reasons unknown to me and when that happens I'm always grateful. Today I received an announcement from Be'chol Lashon about their media award winners. One was a teen named Yasmeen Malik, who wrote about her experience being raised with a Muslim father and a Jewish step-mother, and how she decided to convert to Judaism while maintaining a connection to her Muslim roots. The essay is sweet and touching. Highly recommended. Permalink Leave a comment Spread the Word E-mail a friend
