Zum Gali Gali and a whole lot more12:16 pm Friday, March 13, 2009by emily savage When Peninsula Temple Beth El cantorial soloist Elana Jagoda released her album "Zum Gali Gali" last year she told j.: "It was a goal to make it something that parents can tolerate," she says. "I was trying to make something appropriate for 2- and 3-year-olds that parents could also groove to — there's more interesting arrangements and more instruments." Jagoda wasn't just a proud musician excited about the birth of her new album — the CD really does appeal to children of all ages (as in, we may be adults but we're still kids at heart, you dig?). On the album Jagoda sang and played guitar and percussion, recording songs such as "Bim Bam" and title track "Zum Gali Gali." She'll perform all the upbeat global music jams at her Zum Gali Gali Kids Concert at Afikomen Judaica, 3042 Claremont Ave., Berkeley at 1:30 p.m., March 15.
