Bay Trail hike in San Mateo. Join the Bay Area Jewish Singles Hiking Club on an easy six-mile hike along the San Francisco Bay Trail, or the more challenging six-mile Redwood Park Loop. 2 p.m. $1. (408) 817-5686.

“The Music of John Denver.” Musician Jim Curry performs the late singer’s greatest hits in a benefit for Congregation Beth Shalom of Napa Valley.
