Unorthodox comedy. Describing himself as “the world’s only practicing clergyman doing standup comedy – intentionally,” Rabbi Bob Alper has been a regular on television, stage and radio with his special brand of comedy that draws from his experiences as a rabbi. He’ll be performing twice in the Bay Area with a comedy set suitable for all audiences, and guaranteed to be entertaining. 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 26 at Congregation Beth Israel Judea, 625 Brotherhood Way, S.F. $18-$22.
