Summer music workshop at Palo Alto JCC

The Oshman Family JCC will hold a weeklong workshop for musicians in July.

The series — which the Palo Alto JCC hopes to offer annually — allows musicians 15 and older to work together to create their own musical pieces.

“This is an exciting opportunity for music enthusiasts of all levels to sit side by side with outstanding local musicians and make beautiful music together,” said Cultural Arts director Ronit Widmann-Levy. “When musicians of all levels work together, everyone gains new skills, ideas and appreciation.”

Registrants can sign up for chamber orchestra, chorale music or the wind/jazz ensemble. Each group will be coached and led by local professionals.

The  21⁄2-hour classes take place July 20-25; practices will culminate in a day of concerts July 27 at the JCC. For more information and to sign up, visit or contact Jennifer O’Leary at (650) 223-8664.
