Friendship Circle walk-a-thon on tap

The third annual Friendship Circle Walkathon is scheduled for June 1 at the Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto.

The 3-kilometer walk will benefit the national Jewish nonprofit Friendship Circle, which supports kids with special needs and their families. Last year’s event raised $78,000 and included 350 walkers. This year, more than 22 teams with 80 walkers have registered.  More than 16 corporate sponsors have signed on.

The walk-a-thon will begin with registration at 10 a.m. at the Oshman Family JCC, 3921 Fabian Way, Palo Alto. After the walk, there will be performances, children’s activities and food.
