“Crossing the Sea of Song.” Listen to recordings of Italian songs and their Hebrew adaptations as musicologist Francesco Spagnolo explores the politics of culture and national identity across the Mediterranean, as well as the development of Israeli popular song. “Lilith the Night Demon.” Josh Horowitz of Veretski Pass performs musical selections and gives a behind-the-scenes presentation of the new work based on the Jewish mythological alternate story of creation. At Jewish Community Library, 1835 Ellis St., S.F. 7 p.m. Free.
