“The Jewish Nutcracker”
While visions of latkes danced in their heads. The Children’s Creativity Museum will present five performances of “The Jewish Nutcracker,” a takeoff on the holiday play scored by Tchaikovsky. The story begins with a modern-day Hanukkah party in San Francisco and continues as a teenage girl’s grandfather tells her an ancient tale of Jews fighting for religious freedom in the form of a dream sequence, unfolding as a ballet of cultural dance. 2 and 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at Children’s Creativity Museum Theater, 221 Fourth St., S.F. $18-$32. “Tevye and His Daughters.” Staged reading of the play based on Sholem Aleichem’s stories. At Addison-Penzak JCC, 14855 Oka Road, Los Gatos. 8 p.m. Also Dec. 8 at 2 p.m. $8-$15.


“Oy Vey in a Manger.” The Dragapella Beautyshop Quartet, also known as the Kinsey Sicks, presents a cappella singing, biting wit and over-the-top-drag.
