Lau also met with Finance Minister Ya'acov Ne'eman, who later spoke to the entire Chief Rabbinical Council and told it of the deliberations of his committee, which was appointed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to reach a compromise on registering Reform and Conservative converts as Jews.
