S.F. kosher-style deli extends contest

Full title of restaurant will go lock, stock and barrel to author of the winning song, poem or essay of 500 words or less. And there's still time for the procrastinators.

Shenson's owner, Alexandra Allen, has extended the contest deadline to Dec. 31. A winner could be announced by the end of January after a panel of judges, which includes California state Sen. Quentin Kopp (I-S.F.) and S.F. Supervisor Barbara Kauffman, interviews the finalists.

Submissions and a $100 entry fee made payable to Shenson's Deli Contest can be mailed to Shenson's Deli, P.O. Box 142, 4644 Geary Blvd., S.F., CA 94118.
