The Peninsula Jewish Community Center in Foster City is having the first planting in its new Gan Tzedek (justice garden) from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 21. The public is invited.
Participants will garden while learning about food justice issues in San Mateo County. The event is free and part of “Grow Justice: Fight Hunger,” a joint project of the PJCC and Kevah.
The vegetable garden, which will benefit local families in need, is located in the Hamlin Garden courtyard at the PJCC, 800 Foster City Blvd. To register or for more information, call (650) 378-2703 or visit www.pjcc.org/grow.
