The second annual Walk With FC, a 3-kilometer walk-a-thon benefiting the Jewish nonprofit Friendship Circle, will take place May 19 in Palo Alto.

Friendship Circle is a national nonprofit that supports kids with special needs and their families through a volunteer mentor network, educational opportunities and more. Part of its mission is acceptance and inclusion.

Last year’s Bay Area Walk With FC included 250 walkers  and raised $55,000; this year the organization wants to double the number of walkers and raise more than $75,000.

The walk will begin with registration at 12:30 p.m. May 19 at the Oshman Family JCC, 3921 Fabian Way, Palo Alto. It will be followed by a barbecue lunch with live music, carnival games for all ages and a petting zoo.

Walk-day registration (which includes all of those activities and a T-shirt) will be $12, but those who register before May 9 will get all of that for free.
