An unusual confederacy

An injured Jewish Confederate slave owner returns to his home in 1865 following the Civil War to be healed by two of his former slaves, who also are Jewish — three characters who improbably speak to the turmoil and change of their time. “The Whipping Man,” written by Matthew Lopez, has been extended through April 28 at the Marin Theater Co.
