Jewish Coalition for Literacy seeking volunteer tutors

The Jewish Coalition for Literacy, which helps Bay Area elementary schoolchildren learn to read, has announced its spring lineup of training sessions for new tutors. No experience is necessary.

Volunteer tutors are asked to work one hour a week with a disadvantaged student. JCL recruits, trains, places and supports tutors in public elementary schools and after-school programs in grades K-3 throughout the Bay Area.

The training session lasts three hours; register at or by contacting one of the following:
