Jews Indigenous to the Middle East and North Africa has launched the JIMENA Digital Experience Project, which features 11 country-specific websites that tell the story of Jews who left every Arab country, Turkey and Iran during the 20th century.

The sites include personal stories, in English and Arabic, detailing the 3,000-year history of Jews in the particular region as well as the displacement of more than 850,000 Jews since Israel’s founding. In addition, the websites include archival photos, recipes, resources and videos telling the story of indigenous Jewish communities.

JIMENA is based in San Francisco. For information, visit http://www.jimena.org.
