New sketches from the comedy troupe Killing My Lobster and appearances by a beatboxer and a local DJ will highlight a launch party for “Megillah 3.0: The Online Purim Carnival Experience.”
A project of the JCC of San Francisco and its website, 3200stories.org, “Megillah 3.0” will be a curated collection of videos, comedy, music and performances from the Bay Area’s creative scene.
The Purim/launch party on Feb. 23 will include the comedy of KML as well as beatboxer Tommy “Soulati” Shepherd and Live 105’s Miles the DJ. Videos of the event will be flipped directly onto the online site.
Presented in partnership with SoMa Shul and Chabad of Pacific Heights, the party will be held from 7 to 11 p.m. at Intersection for the Arts, 925 Mission St., S.F. Tickets are $20, and no one under 21 will be admitted. There will be an open bar, food, carnival games and dancing.
This will be the third straight year that Killing My Lobster, a nonprofit theater and film company, has collaborated with the JCCSF on a Purim show.
3200 Stories is one part community website, one part online publication. The “Megillah 3.0” portion of the site will launch Feb. 23 at http://www.3200stories.org/megillah, which currently lists details and ticket information about the launch party, or call (415) 292-1233.
