The TAMID Israel Investment Group, a student-run organization that connects students with investment opportunities in Israel, recently announced a new partnership with the Israel on Campus Coalition.
TAMID Israel has programs at nine U.S. colleges, including U.C. Berkeley. It launched at the University of Michigan in 2008 and is expected to have 300 participants this school year.
According to a press release, the plan is for the ICC, which engages college students around issues affecting Israel, to use its larger network to incubate TAMID and allow it to expand its programming.
After a semester of educational seminars, TAMID participants are given the opportunity to manage investment funds or consult for Israeli startups. Students end the program with an opportunity to intern in Israel through the TAMID Fellowship Program.
Last year, U.C. Berkeley TAMID students worked with the Christian-oriented Israel tour company Travelujah, conducting a market survey to help the company enhance its service.
