Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay is gearing up for its sixth annual Art of Living fundraiser, and this is a big one — a celebration of the agency’s 135-year history.

The event will be held at the Oakland Museum from 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 28. It will include theatrical and musical tributes to JFCS/East Bay from numerous entertainers, including playwright and actor Charlie Varon and Old Country musical trio Veretski Pass.

Actress Jeri Lynn Cohen, gospel singer Danny Dyson and Traveling Jewish Theatre co-founder Naomi Newman are also on the lineup.

JFCS/East Bay provides mental health and social services to Alameda and Contra Costa County individuals, families, children, seniors, Holocaust survivors and refugees of all affiliations, races, and backgrounds.

Admission is $135, or $75 for guests under 35. Appetizers, wines and desserts are included, with raffle packages up for bid. For more information, visit or contact Shelley Waits at (510) 704-7475 or .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
