Sonoma Jewish film fest goes to Sebastopol

The Sonoma County Jewish Film Festival opens its 17th season on Thursday, Oct. 4 at a new venue, the Rialto Cinemas in Sebastopol. The festival, presented in partnership with the JCC of Sonoma County, includes eight films representing Jewish life from the U.S., South Africa, France, Germany, England, the Czech Republic, Cambodia and Denmark.
Other festival highlights include “David,” a drama about a young religious Muslim boy in Brooklyn who unwittingly goes undercover at a Hebrew school, and “Reuniting the Rubins,” a comedy about one woman’s attempt to reunite her son with his estranged children for Passover.
