Kazue Drucker

Apr. 3, 1927 – Aug. 25, 2012

Kazue (Rivkah) Drucker of Pacifica passed away quietly, at age 85. Beloved wife of Dr. Charles Drucker for 61 years; loving mother of Miriam Drucker and Mark Drucker (Kim); adoring grandmother of Adam Drucker, David Drucker and Samuel Drucker (Charvet); dear sister of Hirokazu Nishitani (Masako), loving Aunt of Shobu (Yumiko), Kodai and lsao Nishitani.

Loved by Brother-in-law Leonard Drucker (Marilyn) and Sister-in-law Ethel Drucker Sobel (Charles) and Niece Michelle. A lover of Judaism and Israel she joined her husband in membership at Congregation Ner Tamid.

In Japan, Kazue was awarded Master levels (Sensei) in the Adachi form of Flower Arrangement, Scroll painting, Charcoal drawing (Sumi-e), and more recently acquired high skill in the art of Ceramics.

Funeral services were held August 28, 2012 at Salem Memorial Park in Colma.

Donations to honor the memory of Kazue Drucker may be made to Congregation Ner Tamid of San Francisco or the Parkinson’s Institute of Sunnyvale.

Alan Sigel

Passed away on September 5th, 2012 in San Francisco at age 87. He left behind his devoted wife of 22 years, Maxine Sigel, his loving children Doug Sigel, Cindy Sigel, Jan Silverberg, Susan Goldsmith, his brother, Norm Sigel, and seven beautiful grandchildren.

Gdeath_mugAlan was born in Ottumwa, Iowa to Ben and Ida Sigel on April 8, 1925. He served in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He then moved to Seattle where he raised his family. In 1972 he moved to San Francisco with his daughter Cindy. In 1990 he married Maxine Cohen and they lived happily together ever since. He was an avid fan of the SF 49ers, and the SF Giants.

He had great compassion for those less fortunate and was quick to help people on the street. Maxine can’t thank Dr. James Davis (“Jimmy”) enough for all the love and care he gave to Alan.

Funeral services were held Sunday, September 9, 2012 at Congregation Emanu-El, 2 Lake St., S.F. 94118. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations in his memory to the rabbi’s general fund at Congregation Emanu-El.

Irma Volpe

Nov. 14, 1925-Sept. 2, 2012

Wife of the late Lloyd Volpe; mother of Bill (Sue) and Mike (Linda); grandmother of Katie, Becky, Jenna, and Jake. Aunt of Diane (Jon) Levinson.

Born in Emden, Germany. Immigrated to the U.S. in 1937 with parents, and brother Erich. Devoted wife to Lloyd for 45 years. Longtime friend with Mort Macks.

Past member of Temple Beth Jacob (Redwood City). Resident at Reutlinger Community for Jewish Living (Danville) for the past seven years.

Family extends their sincere appreciation for the loving care mom received at the RCJL. Donations to the charity of your choice or Reutlinger.
