East Bay Birthright trip opens for registration

The Jewish Federation of the East Bay and Israel Outdoors are sponsoring a Taglit-Birthright community trip to Israel this winter. Open to 40 East Bay young adults, ages 22-26, the free 10-day trip will include visits to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Masada, Tsfat, the Golan and the Sea of Galilee.
According to the Israel Outdoors website, community trips focus on Jewish history, cultural experiences and connecting young adults from the same region.
Registration opens Wednesday, Sept. 12, though organizers recommend that interested parties preregister at http://www.israeloutdoors.com.
