The Anti-Defamation League has named Seth Brysk as regional director of its San Francisco–based Central Pacific office, which was without a director for more than a year.
Brysk is a dual U.S.-Israeli citizen who served as a soldier in the Israel Defense Forces. He attended U.C. Berkeley as an undergraduate and earned a master’s degree at Tel Aviv University.
In a press release announcing the hiring, Brysk said he was looking forward to collaborating with ADL colleagues nationwide, and he also noted his family history.
“My father and his family fled Paris hours before the Nazi advance,” he said. “They would be proud that I will be working with ADL, an organization devoted to helping Jews and protecting the rights of all people.”
Dan Sandman was the regional director from August 2010 to May 2011; he was the replacement for Jonathan Bernstein, who left in the spring of 2010.
